I’ve got a key to success for you. Actually it’s like 2 keys but they go hand in hand with one another. It’s something that we all have to deal with. It’s arch enemy is something our parents told us to never do. Before I tell you what it is I want you to watch this short video and see if you can figure it out for yourself. Then scroll down and I’ll let you know how I dealt with it in the past AND present.

Did you watch? Could you figure it out? As you can see Clark put quite a lot of work in to create that holiday display. All that work and for what? NOTHING. NADA. The moment of truth arrived and nothing happened. Was it all for naught? I don’t think so.

The first rule is NEVER give up. If you don’t quit then you don’t lose, it’s that simple. If you quit , you lose. Sometimes we’ll put so much effort and energy into something and it will seem like we totally wasted our time. We may spend money, we may work for weeks or months with seemingly nothing to show in return.

BUT NO, that feeling of despair is wrong. If we keep moving towards our goal then NOTHING was in vain. If we keep improving then we will achieve our goals , we have to. It may not be as fast as we thought BUT we will nonetheless. And that brings us to the second short video clip. This is one of my all time favorite movie clips PERIOD. I never knew it had so much meaning!

I laugh my you know what off every time I see that. Can you guess what this 2nd secret is? It’s this. If you’re working on the right things then get ready for the SMALLEST change to make the BIGGEST impact. This may be the most overlooked but REAL LAW OF SUCCESS. I’m telling you, success can come fast , real fast. Even when it seems like nothing is going right, when nothing is paying dividends. This is when you know you’re in the game and the slightest change to a system, or the adoption of a new method, or the use of new tools can make all the difference in the world. ONE small change can mean HUGE and LASTING success. This continues to work for me today as the stakes keep getting bigger and bigger. So if things aren’t EXACTLY the way you want them to be then LOOK for that one little thing, that one little constraint that can make the difference. Then get ready for the ride of your life!

Merry Christmas

Video Shortcuts

A lot of people are confused as to how to use video to market their houses for sale.  It’s not rocket science.  It’s pretty easy if you’re a “Certified Video Reseller of Aftermarket Homes” TM.

I’ve actually heard of some Steelers fans that figured out how to use video to sell a house.  There’s hope for everyone including you.

Here’s a quick trick that will get some instant results.

Buy a cheapo flip camera at www.theflip.com. Anyone on that site will work perfect.

Record a short (3-5 minute) video of the house including the street, outside, obviously inside (unless it’s a complete piece of crap), and the important rooms like kitchen, master bedroom, bathrooms etc…

It’s best if YOU are in the video but if your camera shy just walk around the house holding the camera showing them the rooms (and talking LOL, don’t have silence).

Then upload it to www.youtube.com.  When you do that you’ll get a link to your video which will appear on the right of youtube.  Take that link and then post it on Craig’s list and all the other free property sites out there.  The subject should say something like “VIDEO of 2300 sq ft beautiful home for sale…..”  Make sure to have the word VIDEO front and center in there.

People will then call you.  You then proceed to sell them the house (if they can get a loan)

Send a check for half your profits to your favorite charity.  If you need one I can get you a donor card to “The Greg Clement” foundation.

Try it out and let me know how it works.

A quick rebuttal…

Why? Why not?

It’s funny.  I’m just about to leave for a halloween party at my son’s school but I HAD to write this response.

I love these comments.  I love people. Period.  Even the ones that posted comments that we had to delete.

Let me say this, I don’t care who you vote for.  I am voting for John.  Because he better exemplifies the man that I THINK can lead this country better.  I’ve studied Obama for 2 years, all the way back to the scandal he had with his house and noted mob boss…  That’s another story…

Remember my sister is voting for Obama AND I still love her.  I don’t like people less because of who they vote for.

We had a guy call the office and leave me a message.  He was polite, but he basically said “you give good and funny real estate info BUT no one cares who you vote for.” He said stop telling us about your views.

I laughed.  I do personally know alot of people on my list, hundreds of you if not thousands.  That means though that tens of thousands of you I DON’T know.

I’ll tell you this though.  I don’t think of you as a name.  You are not just a prospect to me that I hope someday buys my stuff.  You are a father, a mother, a brother, a sister.  You eat, breathe, live, and have hopes for the future.  You want to provide a better life for your families and yourself.

Who do you think I am?  Maybe this guy thought I was just some dude that spouts off real estate tips in his sleep?  That somehow isn’t real.  Some guy sitting up late at night coming up with ways to work less and make more (ok you got me there).  I am a real person.  I am a husband, a father, a brother, and a whole lot more.  I am NOT a real estate GURU.  I can’t even speak well in public my friend. Â  I love God. Jesus.  I like to fish.  I like watching the “office”

I’m a real person.  You know what, I used to be real nervous to go up to “gurus” and ask questions after they spoke or when I met them.  WHY?  I somehow thought they were just this all knowing being, better than me, smarter than me.  I was wrong.

This was a totally honest and thought provoking post.  So give me your views but if you want to be mean and nasty then go over to Preston’s blog.  Preston needs some love.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Where are all the good independants?

I’ve voted Republican as long as I can remember. When I turned 18 I voted mostly for the christian moral issues. In my early and mid twenties it was mostly for fiscally conscious reasons. And as I sit here in my mid 30’s it seems to be because of the above 2 AND national security mixed in with a little ol’ nudging from my mom.

I don’t really like either candidate all too much. You may LOVE McCain or Obama, but I don’t. I have great conversations with my older sister Cathy who loves in Boston, about politics all the time, and if we can love each other through our obvious differences then I don’t have a problem with you either (no matter how much you love Obama)

It’s obvious that times are good for some people. Matter of fact times couldn’t be better for me. Financial freedom in a politically free environment is a rare thing indeed. Oftentimes I just sit back and than God for everything he’s done for me. Funny thing is though is that I remember sitting back and thanking God for everything he’s done for me long before I was making a lot of money.

Times are also bad for a lot of people and here’s my opinion. Even though I’ll probably vote for John, I think that the economy has a better chance of “rebounding” FASTER if Obama is elected. I think tax cuts and small government are GOOD things. BUT I think that the media has done a tremendous job for Barack in ONE single instance.

Identifying Obama as Change. CHANGE FOR CHANGE’s SAKE

No matter who is elected I personally will stand behind them 100% as I think we all should. BUT if Obama is elected I think that the “emotional” state of this country will change much faster than the opposite. Maybe with lightning speed…

The GOOD news is that we still live in the greatest country in the world. The GOOD news is that regardless of who is elected there will be a small fraction of people who will achieve massive success. The GOOD news is that it’s easy to join this group whenever you want to.

I’m telling you, (if your not already here) it’s pretty nice on this side.

The banks messed up bigtime. High powered execs got greedy. Lazy politicians can’t make up their minds. This is all true, but what I know for sure is that CHANGE is happening faster today than EVER before.

Change is all around us. It’s everywhere we look. I’ve always made it a habit to embrace it and NOT push it away. So come on let’s see what YOU can do.

Just answer me this ONE question - regardless of your political preference do you agree that if Obama is elected that the country has a faster chance of coming out of it’s doldrums? Remember I’m not saying it’s best long term for us, but rather FASTER…

Since so much of our modern world is based on pure emotion and momentum… Let er rip…
